From Beuys to Bach – be entertained!
The big names who appear here prove we’re also a cultural paradise. The Hallen für neue Kunst, our main exhibition of Contemporary Art, has substantial works by Joseph Beuys, Robert Mangold and Bruce Nauman. The medieval Benedictine Monastery zu Allerheiligen (All Saints) now shows paintings and sculptures dating from the Middle Ages to the modern day. The international Bach festival attracts musicians from around the world, the Jazz Festival, held in the Kammgarn, draws in the avant-garde of Swiss jazz and “das festival”, on the Herrenacker, always boasts a line-up of international stars.
